As a board-certified internist and clinical informaticist, Dr. Alex Dummett spent over a decade on the front lines of academic medicine, hospital care, and healthcare innovation. While leading quality improvement initiatives and building AI-powered early warning systems across major health systems, he saw firsthand how poorly integrated technology could overwhelm clinicians instead of supporting them.
Drawing from his leadership in patient safety, medical education, and clinical informatics, Dr. Dummett created Healthcare AI Consulting to meet the need for responsible, effective AI implementation. The goal is simple: help clinicians make better decisions, reduce avoidable harm, and ensure technology serves care, not the other way around.
