Dr. Alex Dummett is an award-winning and nationally recognized physician-informaticist whose career bridges clinical practice, medical education, patient safety, and the integration of artificial intelligence into healthcare. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Clinical Informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. With over a decade of experience, he has built and optimized AI-powered clinical decision support tools that improve outcomes and support high-stakes decision-making.

As the Founder of Healthcare AI Consulting, LLC, Dr. Dummett leads high-impact projects that embed evidence-based AI into simulation-based training and clinical workflows. His expertise spans both the pre-generative AI era, where he served as Regional Clinical Lead for Kaiser Permanente’s Advance Alert Monitor, a system credited with saving over 500 lives annually, and the generative AI era, where he now integrates large language models into bedside tools and educational platforms. His work on early warning systems has earned national recognition, including the prestigious Eisenberg Award.
